Case Study: Day 4 Night - Bradley the Badger Website

Building a home for this magical 3D platformer

Tag: Website

We couldn’t have been more excited when a new indie game studio came to us about building a website for their unannounced debut game. This studio, Day 4 Night, is made up of true industry veterans, including Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption, Shadow of Mordor, Perfect Dark) and Davide Soliani (Mario + Rabbids Series, Rayman in the Phantom Show).

Their imaginative 3D platformer, Bradley the Badger, was set to be announced at The Game Awards, and they needed a high-impact website that could capture attention immediately and convert this engagement into wishlists.

THE BRIEF

Make it playful without losing clarity

The site needed to feel imaginative and surprising, but without confusing first-time visitors, or burying key information. In other words, it needed to be organised chaos.

High performance across all devices

With announcement traffic coming from social, press, and live events, it was essential for the web experience to be smooth and fast, across both desktop and mobile.

A site that celebrates games

More than just a traditional marketing page, the website needed to communicate that Bradley the Badger isn’t just another game - it’s a joyful celebration of gaming itself, made by people who deeply love games.

We needed to prioritise exploration over explanation. The site should encourage users to to poke around and discover little details, hopefully feeling the same sense of playful curiosity that defines the game.

OUR APPROACH

We treated the website as an extension of the game’s design philosophy rather than going with a traditional marketing funnel. We wanted to take users on a journey that mirrors the game and let the visuals and interactions do the talking.

Some key principles that guided the build:

  • Echo the game’s tone - chaotic, playful, and fun, but always with purpose.
  • Design for curious players - reward scrolling and hovering with little moments of delight.
  • Never sacrifice usability - clear calls to action, alongside a strong hierarchy and fast load times were essential.
Project N were an absolute joy to work with. From the first mockups to the final launch, they were professional, creative, and extremely responsive, always open to feedback and happy to iterate together.

The strategic intent was to create a website that feels as playful and inventive as the game itself, focusing on exploration over explanation. It should target curious players, indie game fans, game developers, and older gamers searching for that nostalgic hit.

We needed to ensure that the Bradley the Badger website’s creative communicates that this isn't just a game - it's a celebration of gaming itself, framed through a bold, playful, and meta experience. It needed to show that this is a game made by people who deeply love games. Through eye-catching visuals, interactive elements and slightly unconventional structure, it aims to mirror the game itself - curious, imaginative, frantic at times, and ultimately a joy to play.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

We produced Figma wireframes and final designs across mobile, tablet, and desktop, ensuring consistency is maintained across the site and the user experience is fluid and polished.

The site was built using our high-performance Nuxt front-end framework to keep load times fast and interaction smooth.
