NACON Welcome to ParadiZe video project

Easy as A-B-Z

Only two months into 2024 and it’s already been a fantastic year for new partnerships at Project N. We were first introduced to French games publisher Nacon at Gamescom 2023, where we were lucky enough to see a handful of games they had in the pipeline. We knew immediately that we wanted to work with the publisher, and it wasn’t long before we were partnering up to work on their upcoming zombie survival game Welcome to ParadiZe.

Given our background working with properties like Dead Island 2 and Outriders, the game seemed to be a perfect fit for Project N, with its quirky and rebellious tone. We agreed on two deliverables – a trailer to introduce the game’s co-op play, and four ‘corporate style’ promotional videos intended to introduce players to the game’s setting. These videos would be released via Welcome to ParadiZe’s social media platforms and YouTube channel.

After some time familiarizing ourselves with the game, our editorial team got to work penning the scripts, incorporating a playful and irreverent tone that still communicated the key information points about the game. The corporate videos used a narrator reminiscent of early 50s advertising, introducing the game’s mechanics. The co-op trailer used a more gameplay-focused narrative, with four characters representing players. In the trailer, we run through a typical game session that descends into fun chaos by the end.

The video team demonstrated incredible vision with these videos, capturing creative camera angles and clever use of sound effects to illustrate the game’s chaotic brand of survival gameplay. We co-ordinated a four-player game session to capture the necessary footage, requiring tight direction and strong understanding of the game.

The end result was five slick, exciting videos that perfectly encapsulate the appeal of this thrilling new game franchise. Check out the videos here.

“Project N quickly grasped the tone of Welcome to ParadiZe and delivered on-point videos to animate our audience.”
