Talent Digital Art: SDPF3 trailer, socials, and Discord

Challenging the world to #FightMe

Project N continues to break new ground, as we teamed up with South African studio Talent Digital Art, who are working on an exciting cross-media project with Super Dragon Punch Force 3. The mobile fighting game pays homage to a fictional arcade game in the Sam Raimi-produced film Boy Kills World, which stars Bill Skarsgård (IT, John Wick 4) in a thrilling revenge quest that hits cinemas worldwide this April.

The in-universe fighting game serves as an inspiration for the titular character as he seeks vengeance on those who wronged him. Featuring a gorgeous hand-drawn animation-inspired art style, the game showcases the main character from the film along with a cast of original characters, each with unique movesets and lore. Releasing on PC and mobile alongside the film, the game is not only a perfect tie-in but also a riotously fun and fluid fighter in its own right.

Our work on the game spans video production and social media/community management. We first assisted TDA with the Super Dragon Punch Force 3 Discord server. After conducting a full audit of the existing server, we held a session with the studio's marketing team to deliver our feedback. Once we aligned on the vision for the SDPF3 community, we prepared the server for launch.

We created a moderation handbook based on our experience running servers for high-profile titles like Elden Ring and Tekken 8. Now, we are collaborating with the studio to manage and moderate activity, ensuring an excellent experience for the game’s fans.

Next, we produced a thrilling reveal trailer for the game, capturing the excitement and dynamism of the 2.5D brawler. Working closely with the Johannesburg-based studio, we created a trailer combining dynamic motion graphics with gameplay footage to showcase the diverse character roster and responsive combat.

The response to the trailer was fantastic and was picked up by several influential outlets, including GameTrailers. Bite-sized cutdowns were also provided, and as some icing on the cake, we delivered the trailer one week ahead of schedule, allowing TDA to showcase it at South Africa Comic Con.

Since the game's launch, we've been supporting Talent Digital Art with high-quality social posts including video, static, and text assets. We created a series of 'Meet the Fighter' videos, which demonstrated the movesets of the game's playable roster, and produced static assets with stats and facts about each of them. Running with the #FightMe theme we also produced a number of toungue-in-cheek assets with unpopular opinions – and challenged fans to meet us in-game to settle the beef.

“The team at Project N delivered under extreme pressure for the global game open beta launch and community building of our new fighter game, Super Dragon Punch Force 3. From project management to scheduling, communication, creativity, and copywriting, we cannot speak more highly of this team. Thank you for your support, your ability to pivot at a moment's notice, and your ongoing energy and commitment to our success!”
